CATALAN BEANS (started)

This week a very easy recipe to make and very tasty ...

Ingredients for 4 people:

1,200 grams. of broad beans, shelled frozen baby lima beans 0, Findus brand.
100 grs. tender pork bacon
1/2 dl. olive oil
1 black sausage, cut into pieces
1 small tomato
1 small onion
1 bay leaf
2 leaves of mint
1/2 cup dry sherry
1 sweet anise jet
salt and pepper
half glass of water

Fry the pork, cut into pieces in oil with tomato and onion into quarters, until golden.
When cooked, will add tender beans, shelled and we will remove with a wooden spoon.
Add the bay leaf, mint, 1/2 cup dry sherry and sweet anise jet, with salt and pepper and will add the half glass of water.
We will leave it to simmer for 40 minutes, which chup-chup go by ... putting a lid on top.
After 35 minutes of cooking will put the black sausage, cut into pieces.
If we have to remove, will shake the pan carefully.
Very important: before extinguishing the fire of cooking, you taste it... beans have to be tender... if you see that they are not yet, you leave it 10 minutes more.

CHICKPEAS WITH SPINACH - vegetables - started

They say that it will start the severe cold of winter ... and for this we have not choice to eat vegetables and soups ...
Today I shall give you a recipe to warm ... chickpeas with spinach.
First, we will cook chickpeas and previously we will boil spinach.
In a pan with olive oil, we will fry small slice of bread and reserve.
In the same pan and in the same oil we will make a fry with onion and tomato grated:
1 large onion
100 grs. ripe tomatoes
When it was cooked, we will take a cup of water and mix them with fried chickpeas.
In a separate pan, we will fry the spinach with a little olive oil -2 tablespoons- and once done we will put together with chickpeas in the pot, go down the gas and let it go by xup-xup.
We will mix them with a wooden spoon.
In a mortar we will mash 30 grams. toasted almonds, a
clove of garlic and slice of bread that we have fried above. Once done, add a small cup of water and mix all with chickpeas and spinach ... afterwards, add a pinch of salt. We'll leave about 10 minutes over a low fire ... and ready to eat ... !!!
